Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso praised the contributions of Portuguese duo Nuno Santos and Miguel Reisinho.

Santos joined the Brazilians from Liga Portugal outfit Vitória Guimarães SC and has since made eight appearances in all competitions and scored three goals and assisted a further two.

Reisinho arrived at Sundowns from Portuguese outfit Boavista FC, and he has scored one goal and registered one assist in four appearances in all competitions for Sundowns.

Cardoso has praised the duos contributions in their 3-1 victory over Saint Eloi Lupopo in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.

“I think it is important to highlight what the team can do together, obviously players when they reach a good level, when they put all the effort they have together on the pitch, the team will profit from it,” Cardoso told SABC Sport after the game.

“Our team have many high-quality players, we saw Nuno what he did in a very high level, Miguel obviously first match in this competition also but good pass something that we worked.

“But I think in general what we want is some day or one day is that some player gets highlighted and another one will be another one.

“Consistency will speak for ourselves and what I think for is that the players can be consistent in terms of team behaviour so that we can win matches and look forward.”
