Hunt: We should be better

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt felt his side should have done better against Polokwane City following their exit from the Carling Knockout Cup.

Matsatsantsa suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Rise and Shine in the opening round at the TUT Stadium on Sunday.

A brace by Hlayisi Chauke and goals from Oswin Appollis and Ndamulelo Rodney Maphangule cancelled out Terrence Dzvukamanjaโ€™s 88th-minute goal.

Hunt was left disappointed following their exit from the tournament and admits he didnโ€™t expect to concede four goals.

โ€œThis game is a missed opportunity, so weโ€™re disappointed,โ€ Hunt said after the game.

โ€œIโ€™m very disappointed, but it is what it is.

โ€œWe canโ€™t take the fact that weโ€™re lying third in the league and we finished third last season with the same bunch of players.

โ€œWeโ€™re punching way, way above where we should be.

โ€œBut you donโ€™t expect a result like this.

โ€œWe should be better, far better and werenโ€™t.โ€
