Orlando Pirates have continued to bolster their squad after confirming the signing of midfielder Thapelo Mokobodi from Stellenbosch FC.

Mokobodi joins the Sea Robbers after parting ways with Stellies, where he made 28 appearances across all competitions.

The 23-year-old arrives at the club after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.

The Buccaneers have since confirmed that the midfielder will wear the number 33 jersey at his new club.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Thapelo Mokobodi from Stellenbosch FC, ahead of the new Betway Premiership campaign,” Pirates said in a statement.

“The 23-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will link up with the rest of the squad this morning.

“Mokobodi has been handed the number 33 jersey for this season.”
