Arsenal landed the biggest deal on transfer deadline day after meeting the £45-million release clause in midfielder Thomas Partey’s Atletico Madrid contract, while Manchester United finally brought in some additions with the arrivals of Edison Cavani and Alex Telles.
Arsenal have signed Thomas Partey after Atletico Madrid revealed the Gunners paid the midfielder’s reported £45-million release clause with a little more than half an hour remaining on transfer deadline day.
Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles completed deadline-day moves to Manchester United, who also secured a deal for teenage winger Amad Diallo to join the Premier League club in January.
