Bafana Bafana defender Erick Mathoho has been withdrawn from the squad to face Burkina Faso in the Fifa World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

The Kaizer Chiefs defender will serve a two-game suspension after he received a red card during their 2-1 defeat against Cape Verde last month.

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Motjeka Madisha has been called up to the national team as his replacement.

The South African national team played to a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso the last time the sides met in Ouagadougou in October 2016.

Burkina currently lead Group D, level on six point with second place Cape Verde, Senegal are third with five points, while South Africa are placed at the bottom of the table with one point.

Bafana Bafana are set to host Burkina Faso at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00.

Here is Bafana Bafana’s 25-man squad to face Burkina Faso:

Goalkeepers:

Itumeleng Khune, Wayne Sandilands and Ronwen Williams.

Defenders: 

Thamsanqa Mkhize, Clayton Daniels, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Motjeka Madisha, Morgan Gould,  Reeve Frosler, Tebogo Langerman and Sifiso Hlanti.

Midfielders:

Hlompho Kekana, Keagan Dolly, Andile Jali, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Themba Zwan, Bongani Zungu, Thulani Serero, Phakamani Mahlambi and Lebogang Manyama.

Strikers:

Percy Tau, Lebogang Mothiba, Bradley Grobler and Dino Ndlovu.
