Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama says his side are still on a learning curve after the failed to hold onto their lead at Highlands Park in Tembisa on Tuesday night.

Manyama scored his first goal in his new club’s colours but was unable to steer his side to a win on the road.

Manyama’s 67th minute strike was cancelled out by Zambian hitman  Collins Mbesuma equalised three minutes. Mbesuma’s 100th goal would be the late activity for the scorers in Tembisa with neither side able to push on for a win.

‘It was a very tough game, I mean, it’s never easy playing away from home,’ Manyama told SuperSport after being named Man of the Match.

‘With the games we’ve played over the past two weeks, we haven’t had it easy.

‘But we have to soldier on and unfortunately we conceded from a mistake that we spoke about. But it’s a learning curve, we have to learn from these things.

‘At least we came here and took and point; we didn’t lose. We can only learn from our mistake and keep on soldiering on.’

The draw leaves City in third with eight points from five PSL matches.
