Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has called for absolute focus ahead of his side’s Champions League quarter-final clash against Barcelona at the Juventus Stadium.

The former Real Madrid man highlighted the La Liga giants’ progression to the quarter-finals, which saw them overturn a 4-0 first-leg deficit against the Parisian based-outfit to record a 6-5 victory on aggregate.

The Argentina international expects Barcelona to be brimming with confidence for their encounter after their memorable comeback at the Camp Nou just over a month ago, however, Higuain is confident that Massimiliano Allegri’s side can avenge their 2014-15 Champions League final loss against Barcelona.

‘Football is so changeable, and a team that everyone thought was knocked out went through to the quarters,’ he told Express.

‘They’ll be full of confidence. Barca had an off-day in Paris and I don’t think they’ll have another quite like that.

‘We have home advantage first and want to get a good result to give ourselves a real chance in Barcelona.

‘We won’t be able to take our foot off the gas, not even for a split-second,” He Added.

The Serie A giants head into the encounter on the back of a more superior form guide as opposed to their Spanish counterparts, as they have lost only one game in their last 17 matches across all competitions, as opposed to the Catalan based-outfit who have conceded three losses in the same amount of games across all competitions.

The two sides face off on Tuesday night at the Juventus Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 20:45.
