Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Nuno Santos insists they are hungry for more after they beat Al-Ahli to secure the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup.

The 27-year-old bagged a brace to guide Sundowns to a 2-1 victory over the Asian champions at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

Santos highlighted Sundowns’ belief in their own quality, while also revealing his desire to contribute in the final third after getting on the scoresheet in the historic victory.

“We knew it was going to be a big game for us, but we also knew we are capable of to everything, we have already proven that before, today is just another day and we keep going, we want more,” Santos told SuperSport after the game.

“We study all the teams. We did see a lot of things from them but we trust so much in ourselves that whoever we play against, they have to be worried about us as well.

“I like to be in those types of positions on the pitch.

“I’m player that likes to play but also likes to score goals and whenever I get the chance to be there, I’m going to be there today it was great that the ball arrived and I’m very happy about that.”
