Free State Stars vice-captain Danny Venter has welcome the arrival of club legend Serame Letsoaka as Ea Lla Koto’s new head coach.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic coach replaced Italian manager Giovanni Solinas as head coach after he parted ways with the club by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old has welcomed new head coach Letsoaka to the club and he believes there is no doubt that his appointment and vast experience will help the going forward.

‘We welcome the new coach Serame Letsoaka,’ Venter told the Free State Stars website.

‘He brings vast experience in the team, he has been around and most importantly he knows the culture of the club having played and captain the team.

‘He takes his job seriously, his preparations are on points and he certainly knows what he is doing.

He added: ‘I have no doubt that he will do well in the team, of course with our support.’

‘We certainly want to move away from the relegation zone and we believe coach Serame is the right man to get this team out of the danger.’

When the Absa Premiership returns, Free State Stars will next travel to the FNB Stadium when they face Kaizer Chiefs on February 7.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
