The Premier Soccer League and MultiChoice confirmed on Monday that the Free State will host the opening festival of the inaugural MultiChoice Diski Shield.

The organisers of the tournament also confirmed that the first festival will be held over two days starting on Saturday 7 April.

The 16 sides from the Multichoice Diski Challenge, which serves as the PSL reserve league, have been grouped into four regions: central, coastal west, coastal east and northern. The teams will then attend festivals spread over three weekends and will battle it out in their groups with the leaders at the end of the round robin stage progressing into the semi-finals.

On the opening day Chippa United will take on MultiChoice Diski Challenge Champions Golden Arrows at 10am followed by Orlando Pirates vs Bidvest Wits at noon.

The second day will see Bloemfontein Celtic lace up against Ajax Cape Town at 10am, while Amakhosi will take on Dikwena at noon.
