Chippa United head coach Dan Malesela has revealed his pleasure at maintaining a level of stability at the club following an impressive season.

The Chilli Boys finished in sixth place in the Absa Premiership last term and have made minimal changes to their technical team ahead of the 2016-17 season.

‘They already understand my philosophy, so continuity was key,’ Malesela told his club’s official website. We have only lost our Physio, Alex Morupa, but have replaced him with Mark Anderson.’

The team recently resumed training and the coach has revealed he is now looking towards improving the squad.

‘One area of concern for me is our defence and we will definitely focus on strengthening that department this season,’ he said.

‘We have beefed up the goalkeeping department and from the middle to attack we look good.’

Chippa United are expected to unveil a host of new signings in the coming week.
