Former Ajax Cape Town medfielderFranklin Cale has penned a one-year deal at Highlands Park with the option of a further year.

The 33-year-old who spent the last three season on the books at Ajax, says he is looking forward to his new challenge with the newly-promoted side.

‘I’m really excited about my new challenges,’ Cale said.

‘I feel fresh and ready for the season. The club and the people are friendly and they make me feel like I’m at home.’

The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder says he is impressed with the professionalism of his new team’s set up, reports KickOff.com.

‘Things are done very professionally and that is always a good sign for me,’ he added.

‘I know we can secure our status for next season.’

Over the course of his career, Cale has scored 23 times and assisted a further 23 from 212 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Ajax, Mamelodi Sundowns, and SuperSport United.

Highlands Park have also completed the signings of Collins Mbesuma, Charlton Mashumba, and Thanduyise Khuboni.
