The Proteas have won the toss and will bowl first in the second ODI against Pakistan at Kingsmead.

After a disappointing defeat against Pakistan in the first ODI at St George’s Park, the Proteas travel to Durban, aiming to level the series.

The Durban wicket will once again test the Proteas batting lineup. It was once famous for being a seamer’s paradise, but in recent times it’s been hard to predict what the venue would produce. The consensus now is that the pitch has changed over the years to what seems like a more spinner-friendly wicket.

This has not changed the Proteas’ mindset, however, as they have opted to trust the extra pace.

The Proteas have continued to experiment and made two changes for Kingsmead, bringing in Dane Paterson for Dwaine Pretorius while Tabraiz Shamsi has replaced Imran Tahir.

Pakistan have also made two changes, with Shaheen Afridi coming in for Usman Khan Shinwari and Hussain Talat.
