Chris Morris struck 38 off only nine balls to get the Delhi Daredevils over the 200-mark.

When Sanju Samson departed for 102 with only 10 deliveries remaining and the Delhi Daredevils sitting on 166-4, few would have expected to see them go past 200, but Morris proved once again that he’s one of the biggest hitters in the game.

The all-rounder put himself on the map with his 32-ball 82 last season, and reminded everyone of his prowess with his 47 off 12 in the One Day Cup final for the Titans a fortnight ago.

In the nine balls that he faced against the Rising Pune Supergiant on Tuesday night, he smacked a lofted cover drive off his very first ball, and hit three more fours and three sixes in the cameo.

While Samson earned the plaudits for his century, it was arguably Morris’s knock that made the total too daunting for Pune to handle.
