Who is Lars Veldwijk? Check out the central forward’s exploits for Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle during the 2015-16 season.

The central forward was recently named in Shakes Mashaba’s Bafana Bafana squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifying match against Senegal on 12 November.

Veldwijk, a Belgium-based player, recently acquired South African citizenship and will now fight for a place in the starting lineup against recent regular Eleazar Rodgers and Sibusiso Vilakazi.

The 24-year-old forward had an impressive 2015-16 season, scoring 14 times and assisting a further nine goals from 36 appearances in all competitions while on loan at PEC Zwolle from Nottingham Forest.
