Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp says his side needs to improve their performance when they face Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

The Team of Choice will now travel to the FNB Stadium when they take on Steve Komphela’s side in the Absa Premiership.

The 57-year-old says his side face difficult up and coming fixture in the Absa Premiership and has labeled them all as ‘big games’.

‘In Bloemfontein [against Celtic] it was a big game and going to Bloemfontein is always a big game for each and every team, whatever you ask me,’ Middendorp said.

‘We played Sundowns at home and I believe it was a big game too. And playing Supersport who has assembled a [good] squad is a big game too. There are not really games where you can say ‘it’s an easy [game].’

Middendorp says his side needs to improve their performance following their defeat against SuperSport United but he insists that it was the best game of the season.

‘We have improved and we have to be brave to take it. As the coach, in this way, we have improved and the best probably in these games in total was [against Supersport] and it was the best game in the season.’

The match at FNB Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
