Colombia’s Fernando Gaviria won the fourth stage of the Tour de France on Tuesday to claim his second stage success.

The 23-year-old, who also won the first stage, overtook German Andre Greipel and held off Peter Sagan in a photo finish.

Defending champion Chris Froome finished safely in the main pack.

‘Everyone in Colombia is watching the Tour de France and I feel like my nation’s representative,’ said Gaviria. ‘The team had to work really hard to catch the escape, nobody else was helping.’
