Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Cedric Kaze says his side are prepared and ready to take on Orlando Pirates in the final of the Nedbank Cup.
The Glamour Boys will look to bounce back when they take on the Buccaneer after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to their arch-rivals at the FNB Stadium last weekend.
Amakhosi now have the opportunity to redeem themselves when they face the Sea Robbers in the final played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
The Amakhosi assistant coach is confident that his side have prepared well enough to walk away with the trophy and end their trophy drought.
“The mood is very good. It is a final that we haven’t played for six years and we know how important this is for the Club, the management and especially for the fans. We know what we have to do on Saturday,” Kaze told his club’s official website.
“We know we have to play the defending champions, but we are confident, and we are preparing to give our best performance.
The tactician also gave his thoughts on how they will approach this game against their bitter rivals.
“I think it will be different to the league game last Saturday. This is a cup game with a trophy waiting at the end of it. It’s simple,” he added.
“We have to be efficient in both boxes, defending well and scoring goals.
“It is true that a final carries a degree of pressure that can sometimes take the ‘flavour’ out of the beautiful game, because nobody wants to lose, but as I said, we aim to be efficient and get the result.”
