Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile and Cape Town City forward Khanyisa Mayo will share the DStv Premiership Golden Boot award after they finished with 12 goals apiece at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Shalulile completed the campaign by contributed toward 15 goals goals for Sundowns with 12 goals and three assists in 21 appearances, missing out on only nine matches out of 30.

Mayo finished joint top goal scorer level on 12 goals with Shalulile after he contributed to 14 goals from 27 games, having only missed three league games all season.

The likes of Ranga Chivaviro, Bradley Grobler, Etiosa Ighodaro and Monnapule Saleng finished joint second on the top scorer log after scoring 10 goals apiece, two behind the leagues top scorers.

Meanwhile, two players finished in third place on the scoring charts in the form of Cassius Mailula and Iqraam Rayners, who both scored nine goals, while Junior Mendieta and Amadou Soukouna both bagged eight goals each to finish in fourth place on the log,.

This is Shalulile’s third Golden Boot award in this competition, while Mayo has won it for the first time this season.
