Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso believes his side played some of the most beautiful football at the Club World Cup.

The Brazilians crashed out of the tournament after they played out to a goalless draw against Fluminense in their final Group F encounter at the Hard Rock Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Sundowns need a win to progress to the Club World Cup last 16 to finish second in Group F after Borussia Dortmund claimed a 1-0 win over Ulsan HD in the group fixture.

However, Sundowns’ fairytale came to an end after they failed to secure the win as they finished third in the group with four points, a point behind second-placed Fluminense.
Cardoso was full of praise for his sides efforts throughout the tournament and felt they played some of the best football in the competition.
“We have played some of the most beautiful football in this tournament,” Cardoso said.
“The story of this game is the goal we didn’t score in the first 20 or 25 minutes.
“But we kept the intensity and the quality. I’m so proud of my boys. I’m so proud of the club.”
