Sundowns have already proudly represented South Africa in the CAF Champions League, and Springbok double World Cup winner Cheslin Kolbe has now thrown his support behind the team.

“Hi Themba (Zwane), to you and the Mamelodi Sundowns team, I’d just like to wish you guys all the very best for the upcoming CAF semi-final,” Kolbe commented in a video shared by Roc Nation Sports International on X. “Go out there and do that jersey proud, and make South Africa proud. I’ll be supporting and cheering you on from all the way from Japan. Sending you lots of positive energy.”

This was echoed by Mtawarira, who stated: “You’ve got this! South Africa is behind you, and everybody is behind you, so go give it your best shot! Let’s go!”

The Springbok duo were part of the 2019 World Cup winning squad, which was captained by Siya Kolisi, who last week also shared a special video message with Sundowns on the eve of their first leg clash.
