Stellenbosch FC returned to winning ways in the Betway Premiership after claiming a 1-0 win over AmaZulu at the Danie Craven Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Maroons walked away with the win and all three points after Sanele Barns found the back of the net in the 29th minute.

The victory saw Stellies move up to third place on the league standings with 38 points after 23 matches.

Usuthu, meanwhile, dropped down to seventh place on the log after the defeat, with 33 points from 23 matches.
