Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi believes Chippa United deserved to walk away with a point following their clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
The Soweto giants have stretched their winless run in the Betway Premiership to two games after they played to a goalless draw against the Chilli Boys.
Amakhosi now find themselves in eighth position with 31 from 25 matches, while Chippa are placed ninth in the standings with 30 points after 23 games.
The Glamour Boys will look to return to winning ways when they battle Marumo Gallants at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, April 25.
“I think after the win in the semi-final against Sundowns it will be very tough to prepare players mentality, to keep concentration, keep focused on the game,” Nabi told SuperSport TV after the game.
“We don’t play alone, we play against Chippa and honestly Chippa they deserve to win this point today, that’s why even when you see the statistic of the challenge they were more aggressive than us.
“They fight more than us to win the ball and you know football is tactical, mental and you have to be ready for all of them and if you’re not ready you cannot win the game.”
