Bafana Bafana defender Sphephelo Sithole is looking forward to testing themselves when they take on Cameroon in the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
South Africa and Cameroon are scheduled to go head-to-head on Sunday when they meet at the Stade El Barid in Rabat, with kick-off set for 9pm.
Bafana made their way to this stage of the competition after finishing in second place in Group B with six points.
Cameroon, meanwhile, secured their spot in the knockout stage after they finished in second position in Group F, with seven points.
The two sides will now battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals, where the winner will take on the winner between Morocco and Tanzania.
“I think it’s going to be a great game, we haven’t played them in the past two or three years,” said Sithole, as per iDiski Times.
“So, I think it’s a great game to test ourselves because if we lose against them, it’s gonna be disappointing for us and a country.
“We know that we need to win that game.”
