Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways after their win over Cape Town Spurs while SuperSport United and Polokwane City played out to a draw in the DStv Premiership action on Wednesday.

Moroka Swallows 1-0 TS Galaxy

Moroka Swallows returned to winning ways in the league following their 1-0 win over TS Galaxy thanks to a 41st minute goal by Keenan Phillips at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.

As a result of their win, the Dube Birds moved up to fifth place on the log with 17 points after nine games, while the Rockets dropped down to 12th place with 12 points from 11 matches.

Polokwane City 1-1 SuperSport United

SuperSport United missed the opportunity to go top of the table after playing out to a 1-1 draw against Polokwane City when Tholo Matuludi cancelled out Etiosa Ighodaro’s opening goal at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The draw sees Rise and Shine drop down to sixth position with 16 points after 11 games, while SuperSport remains in second place on the table with 23 points after 11 matches.

Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways in the league following their hard-fought 3-2 victory over Cape Town Spurs at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.

Amakhosi walked away with the win after Edson Castillo, Ranga Chivaviro and Christian Basomboli cancelled out goals by Luvuyo Phewa and Luke Baartman.

The win sees Amakhosi climb to seventh place on the table with 14 points after 11 games, while Spurs remain at the foot of the table with just three points after 10 matches.
