Miguel Cardoso insists Mamelodi Sundowns are fully focused on the Betway Premiership crown after their win over Orlando Pirates.
The Brazilians claimed a 2-1 victory over the Buccaneers when a double from Brayan Leon cancelled out a goal from Patrick Maswanganyi at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
The win saw Sundowns reduce Pirates lead at the top of the Betway Premiership standings to three points.
Sundowns now sit on 35 points from 16 matches, while Pirates are on 38 points after 17 matches played so far this season.
“I think high quality players that analyse direction and we did it,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV after the game.
“I think we deserved to win this game by what we gave in the match. It’s normal, Pirates finish the game home with their supporters.
“Naturally, they will come for us but we just focus on the championship nothing more. Already, match in the Nedbank Cup, let’s move on.”
The Tshwane giants will be in action this weekend when they take on TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup, with the match scheduled to take place at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Saturday.
