Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Brazilian star Lucas Ribeiro Costa ahead of the 2023-24 season.
The 24-year-old midfielder joins the Brazilians from Belgian outfit SK Beveren, who plays in the Challenger Pro League.
Costa had an impressive campaign with Beveren during the 2022-23 season, having contributed to 19 goals including 11 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
The Brazilian-born midfielder has now become Sundowns’ third signing behind Junior Mendieta and Lesiba Nku.
Over the course of his career, Costa has scored 24 goals and registered 15 assists in 90 appearances playing for Valenciennes, Virton, Charleroi, RWDM47, Mouscron, Waasland-Beveren and SK Beveren.
