Mamelodi Sundowns scored a stoppage-time winner to beat Richards Bay at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, while Stellenbosch FC beat Kaizer Chiefs to maintain second place in the DStv Premiership.

Stellenbosch FC extended their unbeaten run to 19 games after they clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium courtesy of a 46th minute goal by Devon Titus.

The win sees Stellies maintain second place in the league standings with 38 points after 21 games, while Amakhosi in seventh position with 30 points from 22 matches.

Stellies will next take on Sekhukhune United at the Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday, while Amakhosi will travel to the Buffalo City Stadium when they face Chippa United on Saturday.

A 94th minute winner by Junior Mendieta saw Mamelodi Sundowns return to winning ways in the league following their 1-0 win over Richards Bay at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

The Brazilians maintain place at the summit of the league standings with 49 points from 19 matches, while the Natal Rich Boys are placed second from the bottom with 14 points after 22 matches.

Sundowns will now turn their attention to the CAF Champions League when they take on Young Africans in their quarter-final return leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Friday, while Richards Bay play Moroka Swallows at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.

Sekhukhune United 2-2 Cape Town City

Sekhukhune United and Cape Town City were forced to settle for a point after playing out to a thrilling 2-2 draw when Ahshene Jody Lee and Heaven Sereets cancelled out Linda Mntambo’s first-half brace at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The stalemate sees Sekhukhune move up to third place on the table with 34 points from 21 games, while the Citizens in fifth place on the log, two points behind Babina Noko after 22 matches.

Babina Noko are now scheduled to face an in-form Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday, while the Citizens will welcome AmaZulu to the DHL Cape Town Stadium on Sunday.

AmaZulu FC vs Polokwane City

AmaZulu FC and Polokwane City shared the spoils at the Moses Mabhida Stadium after playing out to a goalless draw in Durban.

The draw sees Usuthu remain in 11th place on the log with 25 points after 22 games, while Rise and Shine climbed to 10th position on 28 points from 21 matches.

AmaZulu will travel to the DHL Cape Town Stadium when they face Cape Town City on Sunday, while Polokwane will be in action against Royal AM at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday.
