Mamelodi Sundowns advanced to the MTN8 semi-finals after claiming a comfortable 4-0 victory over Richards Bay at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
The Brazilians got off to the perfect start and broke the deadlock in the 10th minute through Iqraam Rayners.
Sundowns doubled their lead in the 47th minute when Simphiwe Mcineka put the ball into his own net following a cross from Teboho Mokoena.
The Tshwane giants added a third goal seven minutes later when Rayners found the back of the net to complete his double.
Sundowns put the game to bed in the 76th minute when Siyabonga Mabena put the cherry on top to net their fourth goal of the game.
Miguel Cardoso’s side ended the game with a 4-0 win over Richards Bay and will now take on Orlando Pirates in the semi-final.
