Mamelodi Sundowns have officially confirmed that midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.

Mkhulise came through the ranks of the Masandawana academy and gained promotion to the senior team in 2018.

The 29-year-old has since made 178 appearances across all competitions, while scoring nine goals and registering five assists for the club.

‘The Blesser’ will be hoping to secure more game time this campaign, having only made six appearances in all competitions so far this season.

“There is no other place where I wanted to be besides Mamelodi Sundowns, this is my home,” Mkhulise said on Sundowns’ X account.

“I love the team, I support the team and I feel the love of the supporters, the chairman, the president and everyone.”

“It was a no-brainer for me.”
