The South African football fraternity is in mourning following the heartbreaking passing of Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams, who tragically died at the age of 25.

The 25-year-old was widely regarded as one of South Africa’s brightest talents, having represented Sundowns and Bafana Bafana.

Adams made a lasting impact on South African football with his composure, creativity and determination on the pitch.

His untimely passing has sent shockwaves through the football community, with tributes pouring in from teammates, clubs, supporters and the wider sporting fraternity as they mourn the loss of a gifted player whose career held immense promise.

“It is with heartfelt sorrow that Mamelodi Sundowns can confirm the passing of highly talented Bafana Bafana midfielder, Jayden Adams,” Sundowns released the following statement.

“The Chairman and the Motsepe Family, the Board of Directors, Technical Team, Players, Management, StaA, Supporters of Mamelodi Sundowns FC & the entire Yellow Nation express their deepest condolences to the family and friends as we mourn the loss of Jayden.
