Orlando Pirates were forced to settle for a point after playing out to a draw against Moroka Swallows, while Golden Arrows came from two goals down to draw against SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership.

Orlando Pirates came from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw against Moroka Swallows in the “Original” Soweto derby after Patrick Maswanganyi cancelled out Lindokuhle Mtshali’s opener at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.

The draw sees Pirates drop down to fourth place on the log with 34 points after 22 games, while Swallows moved up to 13th place on the table with 25 points from 22 matches.

The Buccaneers will now welcome Golden Arrows in their next league encounter when the two sides meet at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, while the Dube Bird will take on Richards Bay at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.

TS Galaxy 3-0 Royal AM

TS Galaxy proved too strong for Royal AM after securing a commanding 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Samir Nurkovic, Lehlohonolo Mojela and Kamogelo Sebelebele at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

The victory sees Galaxy climb to seventh position on the log with 31 points from 20 matches, while Royal AM dropped to 14th place with 25 points after 21 games.

The Rockets are now scheduled to face SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, while Thwihli Thwahla will face off against Polokwane City at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday.

Chippa United 2-0 Cape Town Spurs

Chippa United cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Cape Town Spurs thanks to goals from Sinoxolo Kwayiba and Kayden Francis at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.

The win saw Chippa move up to 11th place on the table with 26 points from 22 games, while Spurs remain at the foot of the table with 12 points from 22 matches.

The Chilli Boys are set to face Kaizer Chiefs in their next match played at the Buffalo City Municipality Stadium on Saturday, while the Urban Warriors will do battle against Mamelodi Sundowns at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday.

Golden Arrows 2-2 SuperSport United

Golden Arrows came from two goals down to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw against SuperSport United after Lungelo Nguse and Gladwin Shitolo cancelled out goals from Ime Okon and Terrence Dzvukamanja at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale.

The draw sees Arrows fall to ninth place on the log with 30 points from 22 matches, while SuperSport dropped to fifth position with 34 points after 21 matches.

Abafana Bes’thende will go head-to-head against Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, while Matsatsantsa will welcome TS Galaxy to the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
