Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has provided a positive update on Sihle Nduli’s recovery.

Nduli suffered an ankle injury due to a dangerous tackle from AmaZulu striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya in the second match of the Betway Premiership.

The 30-year-old has since returned to the Pirates camp for light training as he continues to mend his way back to full fitness.

However, Nduli is expected to be out of action when Pirates take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the MTN8 on Saturday.

Ouaddou revealed the midfielder is progressing well through his rehabilitation and could return to the pitch in the coming weeks.

“Sihle, we’re happy to see him back on the pitch, in the process of rehab, soon you will be able to see him,” revealed Ouaddou.

“He needs a couple of weeks but the good news is step by step he is coming back to the pitch.”
