Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has explained why Relebohile Mofokeng is better suited to the number 10 role than playing out wide.

The Buccaneers jumped to the top of the Betway Premiership standings following their 2-0 win over AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Mofokeng, who played in the No. 10 role, scored the opening goal and created the assist for the second goal to walk away with the Man of the Match award.

Ouaddou praised Mofokeng for playing a starring role and has urged the winger to remain in that position moving forward.

“Look, I really see a lot of things that his coach should play him on the side, he is better there, but he has many positions this player because he is talented,” Ouaddou told SuperSport after the game.

“He can play on the side, in the middle but for us, it’s to notify us the technician and coach where he is able to bring the biggest of qualities.

“And since we make him play in the middle, he makes assist, he scores so I think it’s a good position and I think we have to keep him there.”
