Orlando Pirates have officially confirmed their shirt numbers for the 2026-27 season.

The confirmed list includes the club’s new signings, who have each been assigned their respective numbers as they prepare for their first season in the famous black and white colours.

Meanwhile, several returning stars retain their familiar shirts ahead of what promises to be another exciting season for the Buccaneers.

Among the club’s new arrivals, Neo Rapoo will wear the vacant No. 19 shirt as he looks to make an immediate impression in the famous black and white jersey. Fellow recruits Gamphani Lungu and Sbangani Zulu have been handed the No. 23 and No. 37 shirts respectively as they prepare for their first campaign with the Buccaneers.

Academy graduate Mpho Padime has been rewarded with the iconic No. 38 jersey for his maiden season as a senior player, inheriting the number previously worn by reigning PSL Footballer of the Season Relebohile Mofokeng. Midfielders Matome Mmolai and Mthetheleli Mthiyane will wear No. 26 and No. 29 respectively.

Norwegian striker Sebastian Pedersen begins his Orlando Pirates journey with the No. 31 shirt, while the club’s latest signing, Thapelo Mokobodi, has been allocated No. 33. Also hoping to make their senior debuts this season are Bohlale Ngwato (No. 47), Simphiwe Masilela (No. 48) and Kabelo Kgotsitsile (No. 49), alongside defenders Reece Braithwaite (No. 41) and Cristian Derbyshire (No. 44), both of whom have progressed through the club’s development structures.
