Molefi Ntseki has been confirmed as the new permanent head coach of Bafana Bafana in an announcement by the South African Football Association on Saturday.

Ntseki was the assistant of former head coach Stuart Baxter, who stepped away from his role after guiding Bafana to a quarter-final finish at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The new head coach has been involved in Safa structures for a number of years, having coached the SA U17 team and taking them to the 2015 World Cup. He was also involved with the U20s, where he worked as Serame Letsoaka’s assistant, and the U23s as Shakes Mashaba’s assistant.

The NEC decided to endorsed the former Bloemfontein Celtic assistant, who was happy to step into the role. The association also confirmed that he will lead South Africa until the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
