Newcastle United have been drawn into a tough group against Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan following the conclusion of the draw of the 2023/24 Champions League.

Group A also has FC Copenhagen, the Danish champion, and Galatasaray, the Turkish champion. Bayern and United are the favourites to move on from this group.

Group F, on the other hand, looks to be the toughest of all. Newcastle, which is owned by Saudi Arabia, will play AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG, which is owned by Qatar.

Newcastle is playing in the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. Since they haven’t done well in Europe’s top club competition in recent years, they were put in pot four with some dangerous teams.

Having kept Kylian Mbappe, French champions PSG are likely to make it to the round of 16, but Newcastle hopes to finish ahead of Dortmund and a Milan team that made it to the semi-finals last season.

Holders Manchester City, on the other hand, couldn’t have asked for a better group. In Group G, they’ll play RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and Young Boys.

Pep Guardiola’s team should score a lot of goals against the champions of Serbia and Switzerland. Last year, City beat Leipzig 8-1 over two games in the round of 16.

Arsenal is back in the Champions League for the first time since 2016/17. In Group B, they will play Sevilla, who won the Europa League, PSV Eindhoven, and Lens of France.

Real Madrid won the Champions League a record 14 times, most recently in 2022. They were put in Group C with Italian champions Napoli, Braga of Portugal, and Union Berlin, a team that has never won the Champions League before.

Group H is made up of Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Royal Antwerp of Belgium.

Inter Milan, who came in second place last season, is in Group D with the Portuguese champions Benfica, Red Bull Salzburg, and Real Sociedad from Spain.

Celtic, the team that won the Scottish Cup, will be in Group E with Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, and Lazio.
