Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has outlined the key factors behind his squad selection for their upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Bafana mentor announced his final squad for their AFCON qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea this month.

South Africa will take on Guinea at the Orlando Amstel Arena followed by facing Eritrea at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo.

Bafana will follow their qualifiers with an international friendly against Egypt when they meet on 4 October.

Mosimane revealed that current form, experience and player availability all play a role in his decision-making.

“We select (based) on form, we select on experience, and we select on availability and the impact of injuries,” Mosimane told SAFA.
