Orlando Pirates have confirmed that defender Abbubaker Mobara will miss their upcoming Absa Premiership clash against Chippa United on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers will be without the services of Mobara and Ben Motshwari when they welcome the Chili Boys to the Orlando Stadium for their league encounter.

Abbubaker Mobara has been ruled out of the Absa Premiership encounter against Chippa United tonight due to injury.

The 24-year-old sustained a knock after a studs-up challenge during their league fixture against Highlands Park over the weekend, which saw both sides share the spoils after playing out to a 2-2 draw at the Makhulong Stadium.

However, the Buccaneers’ medical team confirmed that Mobara will return within a week after assessing the full extent of his injury.

Meanwhile, Motshwari remains sidelined as he continues to receive treatment on his knee injury, and is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the strength and conditioning team.

Orlando Pirates against Chippa United kicks off at 7:30pm.
