Manchester City have completed the signing of Algerian defender Rayan Aït-Nouri from Premier League side Wolves.

The 24-year-old joined the club for an initial transfer fee of £31 million, with £5.3 million in add-ons.

Aït-Nouri committed his future to the club after penning a five-year contract, which keeps him at the Etihad Stadium until 2030.

The Algeria international has joined Pep Guardiola’s outfit just in time to be part of their Club World Cup squad.

Aït-Nouri brings a wealth of experience playing in the Premier League, having scored 12 goals and registered 19 assists in 157 appearances across all competitions.

“I am incredibly happy and honoured to have joined Manchester City,” Ait-Nouri said.

“City are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the chance to play for the club is a dream come true.

“I am also excited about working with and learning from Pep and his coaching team and getting to train and play alongside such a world class group of players.

“Joining City is also a very proud moment for my family too.

“Now I can’t wait to get started and to play in front of our supporters.”
