Orlando Pirates secured their second consecutive victory in the Betway Premiership following their 2-1 win over Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Buccaneers opened scoring in the 51st minute through Patrick Maswanganyi before Arrows found the equalising goal eight minutes later through Siyanda Mthanti.
However, Pirates put the game to bed in the 72nd minute thanks to a goal from substitute Tshegofatso Mabasa to solidify the Buccaneers’ victory over Arrows in Durban.
The win sees Pirates remain in second place on the table with 52 points, they are now 12 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, having played two games less.
