Bafana Bafana booked their place in the Cosafa Cup semi-finals after they came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory over Eswatini at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Tuesday evening.

South Africa started their tournament off with a 1-1 draw against Namibia followed by victories over Botswana and Eswatini to finish top of Group A with seven points after three matches.

It was Eswatini who broke the deadlock when they opened the scoring in the 51st minute after Bongwa Matsebula fired the ball into the roof of the net.

Following the introduction of substitute Tshegofatso Mabasa, who came on to replace Sepana Letsoalo, the Orlando Pirates striker wasted no time in levelling the game with a low shot from outside the box to make it 1-1 in the 77th minute.

Bafana completed their come two minutes before stoppage time when Mabasa completed his brace with a neat finish to slot the ball past goalkeeper Mathabela Sandanezwe.

South Africa held on until the final whistle to snatch all three points and book their place in the semi-final of the competitions.
