Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner has reflected on his memorable debut appearance for the Soweto giants.
Leaner arrived at Naturena in July following his move from Sekhukhune United and recently made his first appearance for Amakhosi in the absence of the injured Brandon Petersen.
The 28-year-old finally made his debut for Amakhosi in the goalless draw against Arrows in the Betway Premiership before the international break.
Leaner believes the experience is only the beginning, with his sights set on developing into an even better goalkeeper and achieving big things in his career.
“It was really exciting for me to play my first game because it has always been a dream for me to play for Kaizer Chiefs, one of the biggest teams in South Africa,” Leaner told his club’s official website.
“I was able to make those saves because I went into the game with confidence and was very focused, which made me ready for action.
“I see a bright future for myself where I can become a better goalkeeper in the future and achieve great things in my career.”
