Manchester City sealed their place in the FA Cup final after beating Chelsea 1-0 in the semi-final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Silva was able to atone for his terrible penalty kick, which played a significant factor in City’s penalty shootout loss against Real.

Six minutes from time, the Portuguese midfielder scored at the far post from a cross by Kevin de Bruyne.

Chelsea will rue a slew of missed opportunities, practically all of which fell to striker Nicolas Jackson, as they suffered another excruciating Wembley setback after losing on penalties in extra time to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

Chelsea also believes they were wrongfully denied a second-half penalty after Cole Palmer’s free-kick struck Jack Grealish’s hand in the wall, only for the video assistant referee to determine no violation occurred.

City is still on track for another Premier League and FA Cup double, and the final will include either archrivals Manchester United or Championship side Coventry City.
