Norway striker Erling Haaland described his country’s remarkable World Cup run as a dream come true after securing a place in the Round of 16.

The Norwegians qualified for the last 16 for the first time in 28 years after they beat Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 thanks to goals from Antonio Nusa and Haaland at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Norway will shift their focus to the last 16 when they take on Brazil at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday.

Haaland believes the pressure is off and insists everything from here on is an added bonus for Norway.

“It’s history, it feels unbelievable,” Haaland told FIFA.

“We managed to qualify for the first time in 28 years, we managed to go through the group stage and now we’ve managed to go through to the next round and meet Brazil in New York.

“It’s incredible, so now everything is a bonus. Now we can play with our shoulders down and just enjoy it because I don’t think we’ll ever have this feeling again.”
