Kaizer Chiefs have continued to strengthen their squad after completing the signings of Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako from Orlando Pirates.

Thabiso Monyane joins the club as a free agent after parting ways with the Buccaneers.

During his time with the Sea Robbers, Monyane has made 95 appearances across all competitions, while scoring four and assisting a further three.

The 25-year-old right-back will now be wearing the No. 2 jersey for Chiefs during the 2025-26 season.

Paseka Mako arrives at Amakhosi on a free transfer after leaving rivals the Buccaneers.

The 31-year-old has scored two goals and assisted eight times in 173 appearances across all competitions during his time at Pirates.

The Limpopo-born left-back will now bear donning the No. 29 jersey of Chiefs for the 2025-26 season.

The duo becomes the latest signings behind Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett and Nkanyiso Shinga.

“Kaizer Chiefs are delighted to announce the signings of Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako as their two new acquisitions after announcing three other players earlier this week,” Chiefs said in a statement.

“Previously with Orlando Pirates, the pair bring valuable experience to Naturena, having won trophies and participated in the CAF Champions League in recent seasons.

“Mako, born in Zebediela, Limpopo, plays as a left wingback, while Monyane operates as a right back in the defensive line. The duo will reinforce Amakhosi’s rear guard with their versatility and work rate.

“The team will travel to the Netherlands tonight for a pre-season training camp.”
