Kaizer Chiefs have announced that left-back Bongani Sam has parted ways with the club.

Sam joined Amakhosi from rivals Orlando Pirates during the 2024-25 season but failed to make a single appearance after he got injured during preseason.

The Glamour Boys have since agreed to amicably part ways with the left-back.

The 28-year-old becomes ninth player to leave Chiefs behind Mduduzi Mdantsane, Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe, Ranga Chivaviro, Tebogo Potsane, Edson Castillo,
Edmilson Dove and Yusuf Maart.

“Chiefs Release Sam,” Chiefs announced.

“After just one season, Kaizer Chiefs have amicably agreed to part ways with defender Bongani Sam.

“The Gqeberha native joined the team from Orlando Pirates in July 2024.

“Wishing Bongani all the best.”
