Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos is aware of the threat Egypt possesses but is confident his side can finish the job at the Le Grand Stade Agadir.

South Africa will come into this fixture high in confidence after claiming a 2-1 win over Angola in their Group B opener at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco.

Bafana will be looking for all three points when they take on a tough Egypt side when they meet in the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.

Broos’ chargers will come into this fixture sitting in second place in Group B, level on three points with first-placed Egypt.

“We all know what kind of team Egypt is and they are a very good team,” said Broos.

“They are seven-time AFCON winners and record holders, so that means something. They also have some amazing players like Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.

“So, we know them well but on the other hand, we are confident. Again, we’re looking forward to playing that game tomorrow (today).”
