Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of midfielder Jobe Bellingham from newly promoted Premier League outfit Sunderland.
Bellingham joins the club from Sunderland after they secured his signature for a reported fee of £26.96 million plus £4.2m in add-ons.
The 19-year-old committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on a five-year contract, which keeps him at the club until 2030.
The England U21 international started his career coming through the ranks of the Birmingham City academy before joining Sunderland in 2023, where he scored 11 goals and registered four assists in 90 appearances across all competitions.
Bellingham will now be able to play for Dortmund at the Club World Cup when they take on Fluminense in their opening game, which takes place on June 17.
“I’m very happy to be a Borussia Dortmund player now and to fight for titles together with this great club,” Bellingham said.
“I want to play my part in celebrating success with these great fans here and will work on myself and with the team every day.
“And I’m very happy that I’ll be wearing the black and yellow jersey at the FIFA Club World Cup.”
