New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Fawaaz Basadien has broken his silence following his move to the Tshwane giants.

The 28-year-old parted ways with Stellenbosch FC to secure a move to the Brazilians.

Basadien brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Milano Unite FC, Cape Town City FC Reserves, Ubuntu Cape Town FC, Steenberg United FC, Moroka Swallows and Stellies.

Over the course of his career playing in the top flight, Basadien has scored 10 goals and grabbed 19 assists in 148 appearances in all competitions.

The Bafana Bafana left-back has become the Brazilian ahead of the 2025-26 season.

“Masandawana family, I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait for you guys to fill up the stadiums and watch us win more trophies,” Basadien told the club’s social media.

“I’m proud to be yellow.”
